Google TV

While it's been beaten up a bit, due to the economy and the growth of the web, TV still remains as a strong contender for targeted audience exposure. Undoubtedly, this is why Google continues to press forward for growth in this medium via their Google TV.

One thing I admire about Google is their entrepreneurial spirit. They're not afraid to try - evidenced by their various attempts at conquering such media as Radio, Print advertising and probably hundreds of other ventures I don't follow directly.

The focus on Google TV allows them to reach their core audience - as their AdWords model seems to shrink a bit year after year. After all, as brilliant as it was, it's simply a classified advertising model about as old as newspapers themselves.

If there's a company that appears to be a fit for Google TV and making it work, it's certainly them. They own YouTube, their roots are in the web and ad models, and they have the cash reserves to make it happen. Will be interesting to see how it pans out over the next few years.

Google TV = cool. But Google TV Ads = $$$
